Amplify Your Conference and Reach with Social Media

Conferences are filled with exciting knowledge to be retained and valuable connections to be made. However, attendees want an opportunity for engagement that’s more than just the traditional Q&A. Innovate Marketing Group, of Pasadena, implemented a fun and interactive social media contest for the attendees of the 2nd Annual Asian American Business Roundtable, a multicultural diversity conference in Las Vegas on January 11-13, 2017.

In order to get attendees involved and amplify the conference through social media, tent cards displayed on every table listed the contest rules. Attendees were encouraged to tweet using the conference hashtags – #AABR2017 and #NewMajority – in order to be entered in the contest. Winners were selected based on the following categories, best quote, best picture, most inspirational, funniest tweet and best advice/guidance/epiphany. Boxed.com, a sponsor of the conference, provided gift cards for the winners.

Social media engagement was at an all-time high during the conference. Attendees were engaged and tweeting up a storm. With the use of the Twitter contest, Innovate Marketing Group was able to amplify their client’s conference and reach with the use of social media without breaking the budget.
