Corporate Events Industry Report: From pivoting in 2020 to understanding reach and productivity in 2021, we are looking to turn the productivity into PROFIT in 2022. Live events are slowly coming back. We’ve noticed a pattern where more clients want to host the event outdoors to keep the attendees safe, but still, have that in-person connection.
Changes in the corporate events industry
In 2020, most companies had two options: pausing in-person events resulting in a loss of engagement or pivoting to virtual events. For those who did, the challenge was big but there is an overall agreement that the benefits are great.
However, in 2021 the scope of work turned, and instead of focusing on “making it work” we focused on “making it great”.
What we currently anticipate for 2022 is that consumers want more than ever to be connected and inspired.
Corporate Events Trends for 2022
DEI and Community Events
DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) initiatives have taken the industry by the storm, creating amazing opportunities for brands to connect and engage with their

Wellness in the Corporate Events Industry
According to the 2020 Wellness in Meetings and Incentive Travel Study by the Incentive Research Fund, 86% of internal meeting planners and 68% of external meeting planners indicated that wellness was a critical focus for them. (Hoffman, 2022).
