The Los Angeles County Women’s Leadership Conference Committee hosted their 8th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference, Presented by Bank of America, on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the beautiful Pasadena Convention Center. The sold-out conference was expected to welcome over 950 attendees with over 500 guests on the waitlist. With more than 15 Sponsors, 30+ Exhibitors, concurrent breakout tracks, the event was an empowering day!
This year’s theme; “Awaken Anew,” seeks to challenge attendees to take action towards creating transformative social change. The dynamic lineup of speakers shared their own experiences on topics such as their personal journey to creating positive change, overcoming adversity, how to achieve goals, and what it takes to become a leader. Freedom Writers Foundation Founder, Erin Gruwell, was one of the keynotes and inspired attendees to take charge and create change in their lives.
Innovate Marketing Group managed the event in its entirety from planning, registration, sponsorship management, venue, catering, speaker coordination, to marketing and collateral. The stage design was designed with the theme in mind. A flower blossom complemented well with the ‘Awaken Anew’ theme. Throughout the day lighting schemes changed to keep the space stimulating. Rather than the standard afternoon break items, Innovate Marketing Group incorporated popsicles and ice cream. It was a big hit! It’s all about curating a unique experience for the attendees. Something they normally don’t get to enjoy at a typical conference or by themselves. Moreover, prizes were given out throughout the day to twitter contests winners, and drove more social media engagement, from Sulwahsoo skincare sets to Starbucks gift cards.
Guests had a great time and left the conference feeling inspired and motivated. The goal was to help create an end to end experience by extending the entire experience not only at the event but also in the digital ecosystem. Innovate Marketing Group did just that by generating continuous engagement throughout the life of the event (pre, during, post).
