A Glimpse Into The Future

This year, we ventured into new markets and helped TikTok create its spearheading creator events for TikTok’s Beauty Month and TikTok Shop Activation Series. We were proud to be named a Silver Finalist in Event Marketer’s X Awards and to celebrate our CEO Amanda Ma’s recognition with the Enterprising Women Award. We will continue to innovate, impact, and inspire through our clients’ events, bringing joy and fulfilling our mission of connecting brands with people.

Expanding Our Reach

In 2023, we left a Nationwide footprint. We partnered with East West Bank for a National Event Series celebrating their 50th anniversary. IMG orchestrated a series of events that celebrated the bank’s history and commitment to its community, demonstrating IMG’s capacity to handle large-scale, meaningful events. We also produced TikTok’s Diverse Creators National Tour, connecting with influencers from the Black and LatinX community across various cities and making a lasting impression. Alongside our partners, we founded the Anniversary Collective to guide organizations in celebrating key milestones through rigorous research, creative storytelling, innovative marketing, and elevated event management.

We were recognized in the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies, highlighting our significant growth and influence in the event management industry.

Expanded internationally to Brazil, Canada and Mexico!

Building a Creator Community

Our year began with recognition as L.A. Community Champions by the Wells Fargo Open for Business Fund. This accolade further deepened our commitment to the community. 2022 was also remarkable for building new collaborations that took us from New Orleans with Google to the beaches of Santa Monica with Movers+Shakers. We wrapped the year with a bang, celebrating a very diverse team with POSHMARK, and led TikTok’s Diverse Creators Tour, pioneering influencer marketing.

The Comeback of In-Person Events

As in-person events made their much-anticipated return, we continued to excel in virtual formats for top brands like Activision and Facebook. We celebrated the AAPI community at the Wells Fargo Holiday Hope Bazaar, launched our Event Up podcast, and significantly expanded our team, doubling its size.

Pivoting to Virtual Events

The global pandemic of 2020 was a pivotal moment. We demonstrated resilience by swiftly pivoting to virtual events, opening new doors and opportunities. Highlights included the TikTok National Sales Entertainment Series and a series of virtual holiday events. By year’s end, we had gone from zero to over 250 virtual events. Our achievements were further recognized as we were listed among BizBash’s 500, and our CEO, Amanda Ma, was named one of Event EX’s 100 Most Influential People.

From ByteDance to BMW

We kicked off the year by celebrating ByteDance’s 7th anniversary with activations across multiple locations. Later, we teamed up with BMW to create a dynamic sponsorship activation at the stunning L.A. Arboretum Lightscape Festival. To wrap up the year, we orchestrated a captivating holiday party for CBS that left everyone buzzing.

Our First Presidential Event

In a landmark achievement, we hosted our first Presidential event in collaboration with the White House and the Secret Service. The milestone event showcased our unparalleled execution capabilities and inspired us to reach even greater heights.

Expanding Our Horizons

We flew to new heights by designing an immersive activation for the Toyota National Dealer Meeting that showed tech prowess by using Virtual Reality and interactive LED Walls, which were not the norm at the time. Our team also created a gorgeous event design for Zojirushi’s 30th Anniversary Party and our inaugural Glendale Tech Week. Thanks to nominations from Southern California Edison and Toyota, our efforts were recognized with the distinguished SCMSDC Supplier Of The Year Award.

Winning Big and Making Waves

This year, we captured the BizBash Event Style Award for the Asian Business Association’s 39th Annual Award Gala. We orchestrated a grand takeover of the L.A. Coliseum for East West Bank’s Family Day and ventured into influencer marketing with the high-profile Moutai Product Launch, solidifying our reputation for innovation.

Following her journey as Co-Founder of two other successful businesses, visionary entrepreneur Amanda Ma took the next step in her illustrious career. Leveraging over 10 years of industry expertise, deep-rooted relationships, and an unwavering passion for events and experiential marketing, she founded Innovate Marketing Group, setting the stage for a transformative journey.

In a year marked by excellence, IMG clinched the prestigious Hermes Creative Award and was also honored with the Bronze Stevie Award. These accolades underscored our commitment to elevating brand experiences, one extraordinary event at a time.
